Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to a fitness class?

Either lightweight tracksuit bottoms or leggings and a lightweight vest or T-shirt. It is important that you feel comfortable and that you are able to move. On your feet you should wear trainers . (For Zumba®  avoid trainers with too much tread on the sole as these can cause you to twist and torque your knees)

I haven’t exercised for years or I am new to exercise. Will I be OK?

As with any new exercise program you should always consult your GP beforehand , particularly if you have any specific health concerns or are taking any medication. Before you begin any of Lisa’s classes you will be asked to fill out a short questionnaire (Just 6 questions). If Lisa feels that you need to chat with your GP before taking part in a class, she will let you know.

This questionnaire can be downloaded and filled out before the class if you wish, if you answer yes to any of the questions just give Lisa a quick call.

During all classes Lisa will give different options of intensity and each participant can take the class at their own pace at a level that suits them. Lisa just wants you to enjoy the class and have a safe and effective workout.

I am returning to exercise after an operation, surgery or an Injury. Are the classes suitable for me?

Everyone is different and it is important that recovery isn’t rushed. The best thing to do is to call Lisa and have a chat. Lisa may advise you to have a chat with your GP first, particularly if you are taking medication.

How much are the classes?

The price for each class is on the schedule tab at the top of this page. All classes are pay as you go, so you are not tied in to any regular payment scheme.

Do I need to book?

With most classes there is no need to book, it will say next to the schedule if you need to. However, Lisa always likes to hear from new people so if it is your first time, it’s a good idea to give her a call beforehand and say hello!

What do I need to bring?

It’s important to keep well hydrated before, during and after exercise so a bottle of water is a must! Some participants bring a small towel but this is a personal preference!
